Upcoming Events at Moyer District Library 10/8-10/14

This Week:
 
Yoga-Meets in the program room at 8:30am on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Bring a mat or towel.
Tuesday -Card Making Class will meet. Two options: 1:00pm and 6:00 pm.
Thursday -T-Shirt Pillow Sewing Class runs from 3:30pm to 6:30 pm. Pumpkin craft (pre-registered) class will meet at 6:30pm in the program room.
 
Coming Up:
 
Middle/High School Ages Sewing Project -We will be making T-shirt pillows on Thursday, October 11th and Thursday, October 25th from 3:30-5:30pm. Bring a t-shirt you want to use for the pillow front. There is no charge and the pillow and pillow back will be provided! Space is limited. Middle School and High School students should sign up by calling the library or visiting the circulation desk.

-An event to be held at Moyer District Library on Saturday, October 13th. Enjoy snacks, trade Pokémon and learn tips and tricks from other trainers. We will be dropping lures at both Pokestops giving away team buttons to participants. There will be prizes and trainers of all ages are welcome to attend this free event!
 
Teen Custom Halloween T Shirt Design -On Monday, October 15th at 6:30 pm we will have a Cricut machine and iron-on vinyl available to help you design a custom spook-tacular t-shirt! Sign up with the library and join us for an evening of creativity and fun.

The Big One! (Book Sale) -Moyer Library will be holding a large-scale book sale in the program room beginning Thursday, October 18th through Saturday, October 20th. The book sale will be open during regular library hours. Don't miss out! With so many choices, there is a book for everyone.

 -October is National Bullying prevention Month and we will be showing the movie, Wonder on our "big screen" at 6:00pm on Monday, October 22nd. Starring Julia Roberts, Owen Wilson, and Jacob Tremblay -Based on the New York Times bestseller, this movie tells the incredibly inspiring and heartwarming story of August Pullman, a boy with facial differences who enters the fifth grade, attending a mainstream elementary school for the first time.
 
Alzheimer's Program -The GAHHS Alzheimer's October support program will take place on Friday, the 26th at 10:00am.
 
 Book Signing to be held -Casey Powell will be here to sign her new book, Abandoned But not Crushed: Finding Joy Again on Tuesday, October 30th at 5:30pm. Joining her will be Tabitha Eichelberger, author of Diary of a Lonely Prom Queen: Reflections on Parenting Teenage Girls from a Teenage Survivor.
 
Wild Styles Face Painting -Go trick-or-treating in style! Swing by the library anytime from 3:30pm to 5:00pm on Wednesday, October 31st to get your face painted for Halloween

Craft Show: Local Vendors -Moyer District Library will be having a craft show On Saturday, November 10th, from 10am to 2pm. Vendors need to pre-register at the library. Each 8' x 30" space rents for $20. Vendors are limited to homemade food, craft items, and direct sale booths.

Veterans Pictures for Display -With Veterans Day approaching, the library would like to take the opportunity to honor your family members who served. Community members are encouraged to drop off pictures of your family member or yourself with information on which Conflict/War as well as branch of service they/you served.
