Training for Employment –Illinois Worknet Center through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act will be offering a class on Thursday, May 11th at 10am in the program room. This opportunity is FREE to anyone who walks in the door! The Workforce division is designed to help eligible veterans, adult low-income, adult basic skills deficient, dislocated workers, and youth regain employment through a variety of services. The one-stop service is broken into two categories of career services and training services. Participants can assess career interests, apply for jobs, receive financial assistance for training, and network. The goal is to connect job seekers to employers in needed business sectors through training and skill matching.
