Moyer District Library

Director's Message

Your Library Director Welcomes You

We encourage you to gain knowledge and information by using Moyer District Library.

A library card is required to borrow materials.  Upon request, a card is issued without charge to all residents who live within (or who own real estate within) the GCMS School District.  This excludes the residents of Cheney Grove Township.  (Note: Peach Orchard Township residents will need a card from their local library in order to check out materials from the Moyer District Library).  Card applicants must have two forms of ID showing their current address, eg. driver's license or piece of mail.

A Moyer District Library card also allows a qualifying patron the use of all public library services within the Illinois Heartland Library System.  Moyer District Library allows patrons to gain access to materials from other libraries worldwide.  Also Internet access is available.

Non-residents may be issued a library card by paying an annual fee of $110.00.

A child may receive an individual library card whenever parents/legal guardians believe the child is ready.  Parents/legal guardians are responsible for the library materials their children select.  Moyer District Library will not restrict nor censor items which children check out.  Parents/legal guardians are responsible for returning all library materials by the determined due dates and paying any fines incurred on the child's card.

We encourage you to utilize your  library.  Your entire family will benefit greatly.  Stop by and visit soon!
