Circulation Services

Moyer District Library has over 42,000 adult and children's books, large print books, books on cd , music cds, DVDs and periodicals in its collection.

Books, audio cds and music cds are loaned for two weeks and may be renewed once if they are not on a reserve list.  (Renewals may be made over the phone.) Over 40 periodicals are available for a one-week loan period.  Up to two videos or DVDs may be checked out for a two-day period per household.

There is a limit of two non-fiction books which can be checked out on the same subject.  Otherwise, you may check out ten books, fifteen children's books, five magazines and 5 each of audio cd's, or music cds.

Materals borrowed via any mechanism are the responsiblilty of the library patron.

Youth and Teen Services

Programs offer by the library are:

Preschool Reading Time-Thursday 9:00 am
for children 3-5 years of age

Kindergarten -5th Grade Reading Time-Mondays at 3:45 pm

These programs meet the first Monday after Labor Day in September till Memorial Day in May.

When there is a day that their is no school-e.g. holiday, bad weather, we will not meet.

Summer Reading Program for all ages meet for four weeks starting the last week in June.

Outreach Activities
We offer delivery of library materials to the elderly/disabled. We offer a Traveling Story Hour to daycares and preschools once a month starting in September-May

The Library's Collection

We have over 42,000 materials at Moyer District Library.  This includes: books in large and regular print for adults, childrens, juniors and young adult books, audio and music cds, periodicals, DVDs and videos.  We also subscribe to 6 newspapers.  The library also has a parent's resource center provided by a grant for the GCMS school district

Community Spaces in the Library

If you would like to have a display in the library, contact the director, Sharon Heavilin.  We have a display case by the entrance of the library.  We are also looking for collections, etc for inside the case.
